ANRO Inc.

Commercial Printing - Sheetfed Offset

Sheetfed offset printing is the cornerstone of ANRO’s graphic communication services. Boasting one of the best-equipped conventional offset pressrooms in the industry, ANRO is recognized for both the quality and scope of our printing services.

THE BEST PRESS FOR YOUR JOB

ANRO’s range of sheetfed presses enables us to efficiently match the specific needs of your project with the ideal press for the job.

ANRO’s sheetfed offset pressroom includes large format (40-inch) nine, six, and five-color Heidelberg presses, a forty-inch four-color KBA press, as well as a 20-inch six-color Heidelberg, and four small format (13-inch) two-color presses.

Our inline capabilities include perfecting presses (they can print both sides of a sheet in a single pass), aqueous coating, and the ability to print on heavier stocks, including white-board suitable for packaging and other dimensional pieces.

The ability of ANRO to match a press to the specifications of your project – the size and quantity of the piece, number of inks, type of paper, etc. – means it will be printed with the highest quality, fastest turnaround, and greatest efficiency possible.

QUALITY ASSURANCE

ANRO’s pressroom is equipped with state-of-the-art computerized quality control systems – CPTronic and Spectrophotometry – that provide consistent color reproduction for sheet-to-sheet and job-to-job precision.

These inline quality control systems measure, capture, and adjust ink formulation and application for dot gain, trapping, slur, and color lightness and range. The parameters used are correlated to match how the human eye perceives color. All stages of your project are tracked and reviewed through multiple quality assurance steps. Data is captured in real time, archived, and reported in ANRO’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Data is reviewed proactively to ensure continuous improvement.

LINE & STOCHASTIC SCREENING

ANRO offers both traditional line screening and stochastic screening. Screening is the term used to describe the conversion of continuous tone images (such as photographs) into a pattern of small dots used for reproduction in the offset printing process.

Line screen, the traditional screening method, is measured in lines per inch (lpi). Typically, the higher the number of lines, the finer the detail. ANRO’s standard line screen is 175 lpi (vs. an industry average of 150). We also print line screens of 200, 250, or higher when desired.

Stochastic screening is a relatively new technology that enables ANRO to reproduce images equivalent to line screens of more than 300 lpi (very near photographic detail).

ANRO provides our clients with the benefits of stochastic screening at no additional charge. Printed materials with detailed graphics, high-resolution photographic images, or very fine font types can be noticeably enhanced by ANRO’s stochastic screening technology.

Benefits of Stochastic Screening:

  • Wider gamut of color
  • Sharper images / finer detail
  • Smooth, even tints
  • Consistent tones & colors
  • No screen or subject moirés
  • Optimizes quality of paper
